Description: Tour some of central Ottawa’s most recent state-of-the-art active transportation projects by bike. Ottawa is one of North America’s leaders when it comes to innovation in active transportation. From protected intersections to active mode bridges to advisory bike lanes, Ottawa has implemented numerous projects that put pedestrians and cyclists first. Provided by the City of Ottawa staff, this tour will ride along bike lanes, cycle tracks and pathways to see a variety of sites, while highlighting some of the City’s most recent pedestrian and cycling-focused projects in the inner area. Participants must be comfortable riding a bike in a bike lane and mixed traffic on minor roads. The tour will include regular stops to discuss projects/features including both what worked and what didn’t.

Requirements: Bikes and helmets will be provided.

How to attend:
If you pre-registered for a tour, but can no longer attend, return your tour ticket to the Info Booth. If you’d like to go on a tour but didn’t sign up, visit the Info Booth to check if any tour tickets are available. 15 minutes before the tour’s start time, head to Level 1 and volunteers will be there to provide instructions.
