1. BACK TO THE FUTURE? END OF MORTGAGE AND SERVICE AGREEMENTS
The recent regulatory changes made to the Housing Services Act will provide housing co-ops with unprecedented opportunities to reimagine their community. With opportunities also come challenges in navigating the cultural shift from being legislatively regulated to negotiating a partnership agreement.
In this workshop, we will update you on how to start preparing for your co-op’s end of mortgage, the resources available through the sector that can assist your co-op in preparation, and highlight the next steps for working with your service manager to transition from legislative regulations to a Service Agreement partnership.
Please note that this workshop is for Ontario co-ops that operate under the Housing Services Act and report to a municipal service manager.
