Heather MacKenzie did her undergraduate medicine degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She completed internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship as chief resident at Dalhousie University. She now practices endocrinology and internal medicine at The Moncton Hospital.

Her clinical and research interests include frailty and diabetes in older adults, thyroid disorders, obesity, and transgender care.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her partner and relaxing with her 2 cats.
